1. The man who studies all and remains ignorant of himself, has missed the greatest education of all.
2. Opposites attract, then they attack and then they retract!
3. Most people gain their acceptance based on what they do, not who they are.
4. Repetition is the greatest teacher or the greatest torture.
5. Want to win the tug of war? Let go of the rope!
6. Relationships don’t have problems, people do.
7. If you think knowledge is expensive, try ignorance.
THE TAP DANCER
Tap dancing on the table tops
Of other people’s lives,
A Rejection Junkie’s performance trip, That’s how he thrives.
He says:
“Let me entertain you,
Let me be your friend,
Let me prove to all of you
That liking me is ‘in’.
I can do the shuffle,
I can do the swing,
I’ll do the boogie- woogie
And, for you, I’ll even sing!
I’ll go for you, I’ll do for you
Anything you want,
I just need to gain acceptance,
How’s that for being blunt?
I’m insecure, that’s for sure,
My life is full of strife.
I’m so busy dancing for you,
I don’t even have a life.
My mother doesn’t like me,
My father even less,
My brothers and my sisters
And, even me, I guess.
Dancing on your table top
Takes a lot of skill.
Having poor self image,
Takes a lot of will.
A Rejection Junkie’s lifestyle
Demands a daily fix.
Just to gain acceptance,
I’ll do many tricks.
What’s my value, who am I?
I really don’t give a ‘rip’.
I’m just a Rejection Junkie
On a big ‘performance Trip’.
